Ben Doran is in his first season at Santa Monica College. Doran graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 2013 with a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration.

 

Coach Doran has gained invaluable experience in both the teaching and coaching facets of basketball. He was a manager and student volunteer at Cal Poly (2009-12), and an assistant coach at Orange Coast College (2013-14). Most recently he served as an assistant coach at Castlemont High School in Oakland, CA for the 2016-17 season.

 

He has also been working with the Pete Newell Basketball Academy under the guidance of Ned Averbuck since 2006, serving as Associate Director.
