Coach Chris Druckman’s begins her third year as Head Coach of the Santa Monica College Softball team. Druckman brings over a decade of softball coaching experience to the Corsairs and under her leadership she has already coached the most successful team in Santa Monica history. She is an ex-player in her native country, Australia, where she represented her State, New South Wales (NSW) at the State Championships.

Prior to joining the Corsairs, Coach Druckman spent three years with the Nemesis Elite Travel ball association. She was the Assistant Coach and College Liaison for the 18U Gold team which consistently ranked in the top 100 teams in the nation. There, Coach Druckman assisted in signing numerous student-athletes to play Collegiate Softball all over the country.

Coach Druckman was Head of the Brentwood High School Softball program as well as Head Coach of their Varsity team for two years. She also coached the Marlborough High School Softball team for two years, competing in the Championship Playoffs and being awarded “Team Sportsmanship of the Year” both years.

In 2014, Coach Druckman took a USA team to Italy to compete in multiple games in Rome, Florence & Milan. It was an invaluable experience for the players and an opportunity to immerse themselves in the culture, as well as successfully winning 80% of their games.

During 2008-2014, Coach Druckman was head coach for multiple teams representing ASA LA South Bay and competed at District, State and National championships all over the country. She was on the Board of Santa Monica Girls Fastpitch for 5 years, 3 of which she was Vice President.

Chris has lived in Santa Monica for 15 years. Previously she and her family has lived in Moscow, Russia, Beijing, China and Philadelphia. She was the Founder of an Early Childhood Educational Center in Moscow, currently still in operation today and she was an Associate producer and Softball advisor for the movie “All Stars”. She is married with two daughters, one graduated from Chapman University and the other a Senior and Captain of the softball team at Pomona-Pitzer College.
