PALM DESERT, Calif. - College of the Desert men's basketball suffered a 97-70 defeat at the hands of visiting Santa Monica on Tuesday evening in Palm Desert.
Freshman William Brown (Animo Los Angeles HS) led the Roadrunner offense with 20 points and 10 rebounds, while fellow freshman, Philippe Salawa (A.B. Miller HS), was also in double-digits in scoring with 16 points.
As a team, the Roadrunners shot 42.4% (25-59) from the floor, while gathering 39 total rebounds. The team added 13 assists, to go along with six steals and a block.
College of the Desert will be back in action this weekend, as they travel to San Bernardino for the Hunter Classic. They will take on LA Pierce at 3 p.m. on Friday.
