GCC Men's Soccer falls to Santa Monica 9-2 Sept. 26
In the space of a week, the GCC Men's Soccer team has fallen from the ranks of the unbeaten and highly ranked to unfamiliar territory as they suffered its third straight loss, a 9-2 defeat to visiting Santa Monica College Sept. 26 at Sartoris Field.
 
Now 5-3-1, the Vaqs quickly fell behind 4-0 in the first half before J.P. Crispi scored on a penalty kick at the 28:43 mark and Monte Almasi scored an unassisted goal in the second half at 87:55 to account for the Glendale offense which had just five shots on goal. Goalie Tigran Malumyn had 10 saves on the 19 shots taken at goal. 
 
Glendale continues non-league play Friday Sept. 29 at Moorpark College at 4 pm.
