GCC Women's Basketball beats Santa Monica 95-48 Feb. 3 to improve to 8-0 in WSC South and 20-2 overall; have won 15 straight games
In a season that is shaping up as one of the best in school history, the GCC Women's Basketball Team continues to play at a high level as they improved to 8-0 in WSC South play with a 95-48 road win at Santa Monica College Feb. 3. The win was Glendale's 15th straight and they are 20-2 overall and ranked No. 5 in Southern California and No. 7 in the state.  
 
In all, 13 players for the Lady Vaqs took the floor and scored as Glendale almost had the game won at halftime leading 44-17. Paola Gorgeriz led GCC in scoring with 16 points and Malia Ulery added 14 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals. Cherilyn Legaspi and Krystal Pineda had 12 points each off the bench and Osanna Tirityan had a team high seven rebounds and Maribel Rodriguez and Kylie Sears had six boards each.
 
GCC continues conference play with a home game agsinst West l.A. College at 7 pm Wednesday Feb. 7 and play at L.A. Valley College Saturday Feb. 10 at 5 pm.
