Chargers Dominate Santa Monica in 2nd Round of Regional's 103-75
Cypress- The Cypress College women's basketball team (23-7, 10-2 OEC) got a huge postseason win over visiting Santa Monica (18-11, 9-5 WSC) on Friday night, 103-75. 
Santa Monica got off to a quick start early, taking a 9-2 lead over the Chargers, but Cypress would bounce back to take a 16-14 lead and never look back. It was a solid team effort for the Chargers who finished with six players scoring in double figures. Cypress shot a lights out 61.3% from the field and 68.4% from three. Lauren Hong was the Chargers leading scorer with 20 points on 6-9 shooting along with 14 points each from Jeana Magana and Phyillis Macharia. The Chargers bench sealed the deal by outscoring Santa Monica's bench 47-10. The 103 point total is the highest scoring game for Cypress since the 115-118 OT loss to Fresno back on November 16, 2009!
The 8th seeded Chargers will travel to take on number 1 seed Mt. Sac (31-0) in the regional semifinal on Wednesday, March 4.
