Football Finishes Season With Sophomore Night
Pierce Football finished their season with a 38-14 loss to Santa Monica. The Brahmas finished with a 3-7 record an improvement of last season where they failed to record a victory. Pierce honored 13 sophomores on the team gor their efforts. Head Coach James Sims also gave his team MVP awards before the match.
However, it was a tough start for the Brahmas who were held scoreless for the first half, and fell behind 24-0. They'd get on the board in the third quarter after a one yard touchdown run by Randy Peters. They again found the endzone later in the quarter when freshman quarterback Maqael Henderson ran it in from two yards out. John Gilbert converted a two yard run for the two point conversion. The Brahmas were held to 260 yards of offense whule Santa Monica had 422. Pierce had 16 first downs compared to Santa Monica's 26.
The Brahmas now will prepare for next season after a 3-7 finish.
