After an impressive 2011 season culminating with an American Pacific Conference Championship and a berth in the American Bowl, the Santa Monica College Corsairs Football team comes into 2012 ranked #15 in the Southern California Coaches Poll.  The Corsairs will be led on the field by returners QB Alfonso Medina, RB Myles Johnson and WR/Return Specialist Ralph Gordon II.

A few newcomers expected to contribute right away are TE Dominique Bierria and WR Donnie Duncan.

The defense will be led by returning linebacker Benjamin Brown and pass-rush specialist Taylor McDaniel.

The defense of the Conference Championship begins Saturday, September 1, 2012 against Mt. San Jacinto.  Kickoff at Corsair Stadium is at 1 pm.
