The Santa Monica College Corsairs dropped their opening game 31-28 to Mt. San Jacinto College, despite a 3 TD pass effort from QB Alfonso Medina. Myles Johnson chipped in with 194 all purpose yards (120 rushing, 30 receiving, 44 kick off return) and 2 TD's (1 rushing, 1 receiving). Mt. San Jacinto was led by RB Superior Reid, who carried the ball 31 times for 259 yards, including a 98-yard TD run early in the second half.
The Corsairs travel to Chaffey College next Saturday. Kickoff is at 6pm.
