Two Corsairs Named SCFA Player of the Week

 

Santa Monica College Football standouts Jordan Lawrence (So, LB) and Trevor Nofoa (So, WR) were name Southern California Football Association (SCFA) players of the week following the Corsairs week 9 win over Pasadena City College (PCC).

 

Lawrence had a career highs in tackles (26), Sacks (2) and Tackles for Loss (4) in the 28-27 win over PCC Saturday night.  He is leading the state with 13.9 per game after Saturday.  Against Pasadena, Lawrence had 13 solo tackles and 13 assisted tackles in the game. 

 

Trevor Nofoa, also had a career high 107 receiving yards on 4 catches against PCC.  He matched his career high with 2 TDs, with his second 55+ yard TD catch of the season.  In total, Nofoa had 190 yards after adding 15 yards rushing and 69 yards on kick returns.  It was his 6th game this season going over 100 total yards and is averaging a team leading 116 yards per game.
