Another Corsair transfers to Division I

Mark Casillas has become the second straight Corsair Long Snapper to transfer to a Division 1 program. Casillas, from Serra High School in Los Angeles, has transferred to Western Illinois and has already begun practice with the team. Western Illinois is coached by 2nd year Head Coach Jared Elliott and last season had two wins over top 25 ranked programs. 

Also transferring this semester is Chimechi "Mechi" Oparanozie. Mechi came to SMC from Pittsburg, PA in 2016 and completed his AA degree this year and will now attend and play for La Verne University. La Verne is led by Head Coach Christopher Krich. Coach Krich is entering his 8th season with La Verne and led them to the playoffs in 2015.
