The Santa Monica College Men's Track and field Team was led by freshmen sensation Shay Nelson who jumped a life time best mark of 45 feet 55 inches to take 2nd place in the Triple jump, took 4nd place in the long jump, and was an integral member of the 4x100m relay and the 800 meter sprint medley relay which consists of 100 meters-100 meters-200 meters-400 meters.
