The Santa Monica College Men's Volleyball team played 2 double headers the last week. In the first held at Orange Coast College, the Corsairs went 1-1 taking an emotional victory over the host team. The match versus Orange Coast included 2 come from behind wins with Dane Pieper leading the offense with 12 kills on 38 attempts, as well as 5 digs and 3 blocks. Andrew Dalmada added 9 kills, and 3 blocks. Hunter Douglas quarterbacked the offense with 33 assists, as well as 3 service aces, 10 digs and a block. The Corsairs fell short in their next match with a loss to #1 Irvine Valley College in their 2nd match of the day.
At their 2nd double header held at Moorpark College, SMC defeated both Moorpark and Fullerton. In their match against Moorpark three Corsair's lead the way with 10 kills each Andrew Dalmada, Vecas Lewin, and Dane Pieper who also led the team with 10 digs. Hunter Douglas led the team with 37 assists.
Against Fullerton, the team managed a full 3 sets with only 1 reception error. Dane Pieper led the team with 11 Kills, while adding 5 digs. Andrew Dalmada and Vecas Lewin added 9 Kills each. Sophomore Libero, Max Garris, led the team defensively with 8 digs.
