The pairings for the 2016 - 2017 Men's Volleyball Championship have been announced.  Santa Monica College for the fourth consecutive season have qualified.  The Corsairs are the 4th ranked team in the playoffs and will take on the #5 seed LA Pierce College Friday April 21 at 7:00 p.m. at Santa Monica College in the Pavillion Gymnasium.

The Corsairs defeated Pierce 3-0 in the pre-season, and enter the playoffs with a 13-5 overall record, and are looking to play well enough to advance to the second round.  "The team has played good volleyball for the majority of the season." stated SMC Head Coach Jackson Meticchechia.  "We have had a couple of 5 set setbacks recently, but overall I'm reallly happy with the guys.   This team competes hard and I'm looking forward to Friday's game."
