Star Struck: SMC Outshines Palomar's Comets

In a thrilling match last night, the Men's Volleyball team defeated Palomar 3-0. The first set started strong for the Corsairs, winning 20-15. Despite Palomar's efforts and Corsairs' service-line errors, SMC won the 2nd set, allowing Palomar to score 20 points. However, SMC managed to pull ahead in the third set, winning 25-15, despite Palomar's pressure in serve and block.

The match showcased SMC's teamwork and determination. They played with precision and resilience, especially in the crucial moments of the game. Palomar had a good fight, but SMC's consistent performance and ability to bounce back from setbacks secured their victory. Jason Walmer led the offense perfectly siding out in high percentages, Peter Droog and Ethan Hammond secured the middle, and Nathan Kramer and Bryce Bowsher performed well in the pin. Kody Castellon had his premier appearance in his second year with the program and had a fantastic defensive match.
