Cameron Taylor, the team's libero, stepped up to stabilize the serve receive line, setting the stage for a comeback. Nathan Kramer and Bryce Bowsher unleashed their dominance on the pins that left Moorpark scrambling. In the middle, Peter Droog and Alen Petraev asserted their authority, blocking and delivering crucial points. Luis Garzon emerged as a defensive stalwart, shutting down Moorpark's outside hitters with precision. Jason Walmer, though starting slow and needing a rest in the first set, found his rhythm and rallied his teammates with his leadership.

In a thrilling finale, Santa Monica College completed a stunning reverse sweep, clinching a 3-2 victory. The win propelled SMC to a 6-1 record, while Moorpark stumbled to 4-3.
