The Corsairs took on the host team in the 2nd round of the Second Annual Coaches for Cancer tournament falling to San Diego Mesa 57 – 49, in the second round of the tournament.
The Corsairs dominated the boards, (49-27) but were unable to convert from the field as they shot 28% (18-63). "Although we didn't get the win tonight, I am encouraged by the way we played," stated Head Coach Lydia Strong. "We missed a number of close shots throughout the game and that hurt us. I think down the road when we're more comfortable on the court with each other those shots will fall for us, so we won't hang our heads here after this loss." The Corsairs were led by Freshman Imani Holloway (12 points, 16 rebounds) and Hannah Naefke (11 rebounds, 13 rebounds).
