Santa Monica College Women's Basketball came back from a 20 point deficit to defeat Merritt College in the Championship game of the Tom Martinez Invitational Tournament at the College of San Mateo.   The Corsairs defeated Shasta College (73-46) and  Contra Costa College (73-52) to advance to the championship game.   SMC standout sophomore point guard Aniese Palmore (Santa Monica High) was voted MVP of the tournament for her outstanding play.  Palmore Averaged 17 points, 7.3 rebounds and 6 assists in the three game tourney.   Palmore's play was steady throughout the tournament but she led a furious comeback by the Corsairs fueling the run.  Palmore was 10-19 from the field, in addition to setting a school record with 8 pointers.   Palmore was 8-12 from three point range
