SMC Women's Basketball won its second consecutive game of the season with 70-53 victory over the Fullerton College Hornets in a first round game of the Palomar College Invitational tournament. The Corsairs led the entire way with Lauren Davis leading the way. Davis, a sophomore from Hamilton High scored 20 points and pulled down 18 rebounds while Jessica Melamed (14 points), Mosou Secka (12 points, 6 rebounds), and Katya Echavez (10 points) all contributed for the Corsairs. Jada Gambrah also pulled down 15 rebounds in the victory.
The Corsairs advance to the 2nd round and will play host Palomar College at 7:00 p.m. Nov. 19, 2016.
