SMC Women's Basketball had three players in double figures as they defeated Laney College in the second round of the Ventura College Invitational Tournament. 

Sophomores Katya Echavez (18 points), Lauren Davis (15 points 9 rebounds)and Jessica Melamed had 15 points and 5 rebounds) lead the Corsairs to the victory. 

SMC plays College of the Canyons in the Consolation Championship Sunday at noon.
