Santa Monica College Women's Basketball earned a season sweep of West LA College defeating the Oilers 86-46 Saturday at West LA College.

SMC received balanced scoring led by Katya Echavez (24 points), Lauren Davis (20 points, 11 steals and 7 rebounds), Jessica Melamed (16 points) and Mosou Secka (15 points)

Jinea Cole came off the bench (9 points, 9 rebounds) while Katlyn Flores contributed with 9 rebonds, 6 assists and 3 steals.

"I'm proud of our team's efforts today", stated Head Coach Lydia Strong. "Its great when everyone contributes and this team is sharing the ball really well at this point in the season."

SMC (17-8, and 5-0 in conference play) returns to action at home Wednesday against Bakersfield College at 7:00 p.m.
