Aniese Palmore signs pro contract!
Former Santa Monica College Women's Basketball standout Aniese Palmore will head to Denmark to begin her professional women's basketball career. Palmore, also a Santa Monica High school graduate will play for the Lemvig Basketball Club.
Palmore, a two time All Western State Conference selection, starred after Santa Monica College at Montana Western University was she was an All American for the NAIA Division I school.
"It's unreal, but I am excited," stated Palmore. The team had an opening at the point guard position, I sent my tapes and I'm heading to Denmark Monday October 8!"
Santa Monica College Head Coach Lydia Strong was thrilled when she heard the news." I have never been happier or prouder of a player as I am with Aniese. She has overcome a lot of obstacles to get to this point and I can't wait to hear and see how she handles being a professional basketball player. She is an amazing person as well as an amazing talent and we are all excited for her at SMC and wish her well!"
