The Santa Monica College Women's Soccer team took on LA Harbor and put on an offensive showcase. From the start of the match SMC showed to be the dominating team from holding the majority of possession and totaling out to 19 shots by the end of the game. Josselline Espinoza had the first of 7 goals scoring off a direct free kick. Antoinette Saldana was next in line scoring two goals from distance. Filippa Struxsjo was able to score the 4th goal of the half with the assist coming from Marisa Moore.
It was more of the same in the second half with two goals from Daysi Serrano and one goal from Ashley Martinez who scored her first goal of the 2017 season.
The match ended with SMC winning 7-1.
The Lady Corsairs return to the field in the first match of a home double header followed by the Men's soccer team on September 22. The women will play at 2pm SMC Men's Soccer plays at 6pm.
