SMC Women' soccer defeated Fullerton College 2-0 Friday September 28. The Corsairs got off to a rough start giving up an own goal in the first minute of play and trailed 1-0.
That scoreline remained for the first half.
In the second half, the Corsairs came out strong, but had difficulty finding an equalizing goal. The Corsairs recorded 7 shots in the second half hitting the crossbar and the post in the process. Fullerton scored a second goal in the last minutes of the game to close out the game 2-0.
The Corsairs will open league play Tuesday October 1 with a 2 pm match against rival West LA College.
