SMC's Women's Soccer's Moya Transfers to UAV

The Corsairs have another women's soccer collegiate athlete transfer on to the four-year level with Monica Moya heading on to the University of Antelope Valley.

Moya, a sophomore from Birmingham High School, started 18 games this season on defense and in the midfield for SMC. Moya earned honorable mention all-conference while playing for an SMC defense that only gave up 2 or more goals only four times on the entire season.

Coach Aaron Benditson said, "We are so excited to see Monica achieve so much. She came here with high standards out of high school, having a 3.7 GPA at Birmingham.  She used that academic focus and dedication to her teammates to help us and set herself up for this opportunity."
