The Santa Monica College Women's Volleyball team under first year Head Coach Christian Cammayo have been awarded the #11 seed in the California Community College Association Volleyball playoffs.
The Corsairs (18-7 overall) will travel to Mt. Sac to take on the sixth seeded Mounties (19-4). The match will be played Tuesday November 22, 2022. Time to be announced.
Coach Cammayo shared his thoughts on the 2022 season:
"We had a remarkable statistical season, so the first round bye seems like a reward for the hard work we have put in.
While we are happy with the fruits of our labor, we are by no means satisfied.
We know that the regular season has no bearing on our second season.
While this has been a great start for year 1, we are actively still trying to improve every day. We are focused and determined leading up to our state playoff match Tuesday at Mt Sac."
