Women's volleyball on 8 win streak

The women's volleyball team is continuing its fantastic season. The Corsairs won their 8th straight match against West LA yesterday, September 30th, and 4th straight match that went to five sets!

On September 28th, Bakersfield made it to the Corsair Pavilion to face SMC and got stuck hard in the first set where the Corsairs won it 25-8, with a .464 hitting percentage. The following two sets went to Bakersfield and the 4th ended up with a Corsair win 27-25. The 5th and the decisive set was close but SMC managed to pull it off and win 17-15 and secure the home W.

On September 30th, The women were on a short-road trip to West LA college. The first set went to the Corsairs with a fantastic defensive game. The match went back and forth, in the next sets, where the Wildcats won the 2nd and 4th, and the Corsairs won the 3rd. The 5th set wasn't very close as SMC won 15-7. Opposite Zarha Stanton led the team with 10 kills, and on the defensive end, Amaya Bernardo had 15 digs.

The Corsairs will go on to College of the Canyons this Wednesday, October 5th, at 6:00 pm.
