Andreas Forslund is a student at Santa Monica College. Forslund is a Kinesiology major at SMC working toward earning his A.A. degree and transfer to either Long Beach State or Cal State Northridge.
Forslund was born and raised in Sundsvall, Sweden. He has been active in the basketball community in Sweden for over twenty years, both as a coach and player. Forslund played at the Elite level in Sweden, coaching with the Orongo Dragons in the Swedish Division 1. He was also an assistant coach for the Swedish Basketball Federations "pre youth national team" program. He has a level 2 coaching certificate from the Swedish Basketball Federation.
Forslund is a Certified Basketball Trainer, having studied under NBA trainers Gannon Baker and Micah Lancaster. He has also attended the Sport Managment World Wide conference which trains coaches to work in the NBA.
With the Santa Monica College Women's Basketball Program Forslund is involved in video, stats, practice planning, leading the fundamentals and ballhandling as he prepares for a future in coaching.
