Softball had another busy week, playing 5 games in 4 days which included 2 conference games and a rain make-up and a double-header.

The Raiders opened the week hosting Cuesta in WSC North action. The Cougars defeated the Raiders 8-5 on March 7th which saw the Cougars score 3 runs late in the game to get the win at Cuesta. The following day the Raiders would get a 7-0 win at Chaffey in a rain make-up. On Thursday, the Raiders hit the road again to Santa Monica for a WSC North contest and defeated the Corsairs, 33-1, in 5 innings. The Raiders closed out the week hosting Canyons for two and they were swept by the Cougars, 6-3, and 4-2.

Pitcher Amanda Smith was in command the whole game against Cuesta, allowing just 2 hits with zero walks. Kylie Kolkowski scored on Ashlyn Olson's RBI single in the bottom of the 2nd to open the scoring. The Raiders scored three more times in the 3rd. Leah Cowans doubled home Camila Dalmau, who singled to open the inning. Kolkowski homered in Cowans to make it 4-0 and Smith did the rest.

The following day, the Raiders traveled to Chaffey to take on the Panthers. They were originally scheduled to play a double-header earlier in the season but rain and timing turned it into a single. 

The Raiders scored twice in the 3rd and 4th and 3 in the 5th to make it 7-0.Mia Gregory and Ashlyn Olson each went 2 for 5 with a double 2 RBIs. Kylie Kolkowski went 2 for 4 with a RBI.

At Santa Monica, the Raiders scored early and often. Their scoring lines went 5,4,6,7, and 11 and they rapped out 31 hits.

Amanda Smith went 6 for 6 with 2 homeruns, 2 doubles and 7 RBIs. She allowed 2 hits and had 7 Ks. Ashlyn Olson went 4 for 5 with 9 RBIs, and a double. Kolkowski had 4 doubles and Cowans had 3 doubles. 

In game one against Canyons, Olson went 2 for 4 with a double and a run scored. Kailey Greene went 1 for 3 with 2 RBIs. In game two, Kolkowski went 1 for 2 with a triple and a RBI. Mia Gregory went 1 for 4 with a run scored. Amanda Smith went 2 for 3 with a RBI.

This week the Raiders will Hancock on Thursday, 4/10 at 2:30 for their Sophomore Game. Then they will travel to Oxnard on Friday, 4/11, 2:30p in a game that was re-scheduled from 4/8.

They are currently 7-3 and tied for 3rd in WSC North with Cuesta, one game behind Santa Barbara and are 17-11 overall.
