Playing in front of a November home crowd for the first time in six years, East LA Men's Basketball put forth a thorough performance on both sides of the court in a commanding 84-60 victory over the Santa Monica College Corsairs. Sophomore G Jon Sanders led all scorers with 20 points while adding four assists and three steals while soph swingman Tyrelle Hunt added 12 points with four boards to lead the Green.

The Huskies jumped out to an 11-4 lead within the first four-plus minutes of play, and would close out the first half scoring the last six points to take a 41-29 lead. ELAC shot 50% from the field in the half, but it was their defense that fueled their grind, amassing seven steals and forcing SMC into 14 turnovers in the period. In the second half, the Huskies turned on the heat offensively, connecting on 18 of 28 shots to outscore Santa Monica by 14 for a comfortable night in the W column.

Corsairs C Quinn Collins led the visitors with 16 points and five boards. SG Jake Tweed-Field chipped in with 10.
