The Moorpark College women's volleyball team is headed to the CCCAA State Championships in Fresno this weekend after winning two matches in the Southern California regional playoffs with victories over Rio Hondo (25-22, 25-17, 25-19) and Santa Monica College (25-21, 25-21, 25-27, 25-18) Tuesday and Saturday night at home, respectively.
Now, the Raiders – seeded the No. 1 team from the South – will face San Mateo, the fourth-seeded team from the North, on Friday at 10 a.m. at Fresno City College.
Moorpark (17-4) will need a win Friday and Saturday (against the winner of Grossmont-Feather River) to advance to Sunday's final, which is scheduled for 2 p.m.
