The Men's Volleyball continues their hot streak defeating #8 Long Beach 3-1 and sweeping Santa Monica 3-0 to close out the week. Game scores against Long Beach were 25-23, 22-25, 25-22, and 25-22. Their Friday night score 25-12, 25-16, and 25-23.
In the mid-week match-up, the Raiders hosted perennial power Long Beach and this year was no different. The Raiders took game 1 25-23 but it was not indicative of the way the Raiders took control early and never trailed. The Vikings scored 6 unanswered to end the game with 23 points.
Game 2 went the Vikings way. Their game 1 momentum carried into game 2. The game went back and forth until the Vikings were to pull away from the Raiders and grab game 2.
Games 3 and 4 were much like game 1 with the Raiders controlling the tempo and kept their mistakes to minimum.
Tyler Linville had 14 kills and Jake Knudsen had 13 kills. Benjamin Greenberg added 10 kills. Ryan Fergusen had 42 assists and Joey Nelson added 8 digs.
To close out the week, the Raiders made quick work of Santa Monica by way of a sweep. Tyler Linville had 15 kills. Jake Knudsen had 10 kills and 8 digs.
The Raiders are currently 8-2 on the year and should make a move when the new rankings come out.
They will host El Camino on Wednesday, March 5th and travel to Fullerton on Friday, March 7th
