Pierre-Louis Registers Triple-Double as Bulldogs Outlast Santa Monica

SANTA MONICA, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College men's basketball team got on the right side of the win column with a 76-66 victory over Santa Monica College on Saturday afternoon. | BOX SCORE

The Bulldogs (6-5) held a slim three-point advantage at the intermission after a back-and-forth opening frame, but managed to put the game away with a strong showing in the second half. Coach Aye's squad saw a significant improvement in production from the charity stripe, finishing the night with a season-best mark of 75 percent (12-for-16). Hancock closed the contest with a 48.3 percent showing from the field and held a 40-29 advantage on the boards over the hosting Corsairs (3-8). 

Five Bulldogs finished in double figures, led by Taevon Pierre-Louis who notched a triple-double and finished the contest with 13 points, 12 assists, and 10 rebounds. Kevin Kogbara chipped in with 15 points off the bench while also adding seven rebounds and four steals. Darryl Brooks II tacked on 15 points after going a perfect 4-for-4 from distance and making three of his four free throw attempts. Quincy Bentley and Onias Outlaw rounded out the top scorers for the visiting crew with 12 points and 11 points, respectively. 

Next up for the Bulldogs is a three-day showing at the Coach Carr Classic, hosted by San Jose City College. They'll begin the event with a showdown against Monterey Peninsula College on December 15th before facing De Anza College and San Jose City on the following two days.
