MARAUDER WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL DROPS FIFTH STRAIGHT

SANTA MONICA - The struggles continued for the Marauder women's volleyball team as it lost its fifth match in a row after losing to Santa Monica College in four sets, Wednesday evening.
"We made simple mistakes and I thought we beat ourselves," AVC's Melissa Lee said. "Our scores have been really close and we've been working really hard at practice. Hopefully we can execute against Citrus (on Friday)."
Lee finished with four kills and six digs. Kaeley Avendano led the Marauders (1-5) with 18 kills, 12 digs and five aces. Setter Taylor Williams finished with 26 assists, three blocks and three aces. The Marauders' Nicole Pullum finished with 14 digs and three kills.
AVC travels to Glendora to face Citrus College on Friday evening at 6pm.
