The Santa Monica College Corsair Football team transferred three players over winter break to 4–year schools for the spring semester and had one more player sign a scholarship to transfer after the spring semester.  Freshmen WR Gunnison Bloodgood transferred to Division 1 Morehead State, Sophomore DB Juston David transferred to Division 2 HBCU West Virginia State University, Sophomore QB Matthias Neos transferred to NAIA Southeastern University and Freshmen WR Kane French signed a scholarship to play for NAIA Graceland University.

As a freshman for the SMC Football team, “Gunny” Bloodgood earned All-Conference honors on the field after posting an average of 140 total yards per game over the final five games. In addition to playing WR, Gunny played extensively on Special Teams as one of the teams Kick Returners where he had one game with over 100 yards in returns and had a season high two tackles against LA Valley College.

Juston David was an All-Conference member of the SMC 2019 football team while leading the state with 8 interceptions. During the spring and summer of 2020 David began to focus on Historical Black Colleges and Universities. When he had the opportunity to join an HBCU on scholarship he was extremely excited to take the opportunity.

Sophomore QB Matthias Neos Transferred to Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL to play for Head Coach Cesar Rivas-Sandoval. In his final game at SMC Neos threw his first passing TD of the season while adding over 50 yards rushing.  In addition to playing QB, Neos played on multiple special teams units while recording five tackles.
