The Santa Monica College Corsair Football team opened the season with a road win over LA Southwest College. The final score was 31-6 after the Corsairs took an 18-6 lead into half time.

The Corsair Offense used two touchdown passes from Jack Faringer and two touchdown runs by Melvin Hicks to put their points on the board.  The Defense got in on the scoring by recording 2 safeties in the first half.  The defense was dominated the line of scrimmage on the way to recording 7 sacks and holding LASC to less then 0 yards rushing.

Next week the Corsairs travel to Palm Desert to take on College of the Desert (0-1).
