The Corsairs take on the Lancers of Pasadena City College (PCC) this weekend in a non-league SCFA Football game. In 2018 and 2019 both teams were in the SCFA American Pacific League together with each teaming winning one game. Both of those victories were by the road team. In 2019, PCC won by 30-2 behind a strong defensive performance. SMC won in 2018 after blocking a last second field goal to secure the 28-27 Win.

"Special" Teams

Santa Monica College has blocked 1 punt and recorded two fumble recoveries on punt returns. The three plays have turned into 21 points for the Corsairs. Will Deardorff, FR, Cate High School, has recorded both the block and a fumble recovery on those plays.

Through the Air

Sam Vaulton, FR, Venice High School, has averaged over 200 yards per game passing through the air. That is good for 2nd in the American Pacific and 5th overall in Southern California through two games. He has also thrown for 3 TDs through the air this season.

It's all in the Family

Five of the Touchdowns this season have come from Neos. However, if you have been having a hard time matching up the box scores – it is probably because those touchdowns have been split by brothers #9 Matthias and #8 Josiah Neos. And if you are wondering how one of them recorded a Sack, that would be the third Neos brother #91 Spencer Neos.

Points

Santa Monica's 46 points against Compton College were the most points scored by the Corsairs since the 63 points scored against Victor Valley College in the 2015 SCFA American Division Championship Bowl
