Men's Soccer Great Season Leads To Playoffs

The SMC Men's Soccer team impressed throughout the season, and after finishing the regular season strong, they will host the first match in the playoffs.

In the last seven games, the Corsairs won 6, scoring 23 goals and conceived only 5. With great wins over Santa Barbara, LA Mission, Allan Hancock, and Moorpark College, the Corsairs gain confidence toward playoffs.

The men finished the regular season with a 14-3-5 record and are currently ranked 14 in the state. The top scorer this season is Alexander Lalor who led the team with 9 goals and 12 assists this year. Taj Winnard assisted 12 and added 7 goals. Jason Moreno scored 8 goals and assisted 7, and Roey Kivity scored 8 goals. The men's biggest win was 7-1 against Allan Hancock. Their biggest defeat was 3-0 against Oxnard.
