SMC Aquatics Center
The Santa Monica Swim Center is home to SMC’s Water Polo and Swimming and Diving Teams and our Kinesiology Aquatics classes. Operated by the City of Santa Monica, the SMSC was opened in 2002 and has two pools, diving boards, locker rooms, and a meeting room.
Fitness Pool:
The fitness pool is an Olympic sized pool that is home to our Conference Champion Swimming and Diving Teams and Water Polo teams. The 50-meter by 25-yard pool ranges in depth from 6.7’ to 13’ and has 1-meter and 3-meter diving boards. In addition to our athletic teams, the Kinesiology department uses the pool for swimming, diving, water polo, aqua aerobics, and lifeguarding classes, as well as Student/Faculty Lap Swim hours.
Splash Pool:
The Splash Pool is a shallow instructional pool that is used by our Kinesiology department for our beginning swimming classes. The 25-meter by 25-yard pool ranges in depth from 2.5 to 4.5’
Parking:
Monday-Friday AM:
Parking is located at the parking meters on Pearl St and 16th St. Visitors passes for the Parking Structures may be available for purchase at the Kiosk off of Pico Blvd and 18th St by the Student Services Center.
Friday PM -Sunday:
Parking is Free in Parking Structures 3 and 4 off Pico Blvd and 17th St.
