Elias King earns All-State

Elias King, 6-9 Freshman PF, was named to the 2019-2020 CCCAA All-State Team Honorable Mention. King was one of four freshmen to be named to the prestigious All-State Team.

King led the Corsairs in scoring with 14.9 points per game and was second on the team in rebounds with 6.3 rebounds per game. King was very efficient the entire season. He shot 52.1% FG, 43.5% 3FG, and 89% FT. King finished second in the state in free throw makes per game, fourth in the state in free throw percentage, and sixth in the state in total free throw makes.

King registered six games with 20 or more points, scored in double-figures 18 times, pulled down 10 or more rebounds three times, and attempted 10 or more free throws seven times.

"Elias was great all season for us," head coach Joshua Thomas said. "I am really happy for Elias because he deserved to make All-State. Furthermore, he is the first Corsair to earn All-State since 2003 when Sophomore Ron Eskridge was voted in. This is a tremendous accolade for Elias and is a testament to the hard work he put in all season long."
