The Santa Monica College Basketball team is off to a 6-2 start (10-12 overall) to their Western States Conference Season setting up a showdown with top seeded and 8-0 (20-2 overall) Citrus College tonight in the Corsair Pavilion.

The top 2 teams in each conference are guaranteed a playoff spot in the state playoffs and the Corsairs are currently tied with West LA for 2nd place.

Head Coach Josh Thomas praised the team for raising their level of play in conference, "It's a group effort overall and our assistant coaches have been nothing short of amazing."  The team has rallied behind the play of Cam Cohn and Quinn Collins over the last month.  Cohn had 18 of his 22 points to bring SMC from behind on Saturday in their game at Glendale College. Quinn added a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Tip off is at 7:00pm at SMC's main campus at 1900 Pico Blvd.
