The Santa Monica Men's Soccer Team played a tough away game at Rio Hondo Yesterday, Friday, September 22, 2023.

Rio Hondo scored first in the 43' minute of the match, but the Corsairs answered rapidly with a goal a minute later, for the half-time score of 1-1. The home team scored another goal in the 69' minute, but SMC managed to score the equalizer 5 minutes to the end. Rio Hondo started playing aggressively as they wanted to home win and received 3 yellow cards between the equalizer and the end of the match. The aggressiveness helped the home team as they scored a dramatic winning goal in the 90' minute for the final score of 3-2.

The loss came after a tie 2-2 vs. Golden West on Tuesday. The men are standing 3-2-3 with a couple of impressive wins.
