Update

Congratulations to two time Conference CHAMPION Dajone Averett for winning the men's 110 meter High Hurdles this weekend at Moorpark College. Dajone also led the 4x100 meter Relay team as the first leg, followed by Chris Davis, Nigel Davis and anchored by Jeremy Sacristia to a very tight 5th place finish.  The top point scorer for the Corsairs was Shay Nelson who scored a total of 15 team point taking 2nd place in the Long Jump and 4th place in the Triple Jump and was the second leg on our 4x400 meter Relay team that finished in 3rd place overall.

The future looks very bright for freshmen sensation Chris Davis who ran personal best times in the 400 meters (49.42) for a 2nd place finish and a 22.44 in the 200 meters to take 7th place.  Chris also anchored the 4x400 meter relay team comprised of Nigel Davis, Shay Nelson, and Jeremy Sacristia.  Nigel Davis took 4th in the 400 meters. Malik Young ran a personal best time in the 400 Intermediate Hurdles to finish in 4th place overall.  Chance Thomas finished in 4th place respectively in the Javelin and 9th place in the 400 meter Intermediate Hurdles.  Isaiah Johnson finished in 4th place in the Javelin and fortunately qualifying for Southern California Championships.  Good Luck to all these young men next week at the So. Cal. Championships and hopefully moving on the State.
