In a historic triumph, the Santa Monica Men's Volleyball Team clinched their inaugural victory in the OCC Showcase Tournament, marking a momentous achievement in the team's history. Throughout the tournament, Santa Monica's dominance was on full display as they swept through the pool stage without dropping a set, claiming victories against Palomar, Irvine Valley, and Antelope Valley.

The playoff stage intensified as they faced Moorpark in a pivotal match, showcasing the team's resilience. Their hard-fought victory propelled them into the finals, where they squared off against OCC (Orange Coast College) in a riveting showdown. The championship match witnessed Santa Monica's exceptional teamwork and determination, culminating in a historic win and the coveted tournament trophy.

The presence of Division I coaches from renowned institutions such as Penn State, CSUN, UCSD, UCSB, and more, added to the team's motivation. The players, particularly standout performers like outside hitter Nate Kramer and Middle Blockers Alen Petraev and Peter Droog, as well as Setter, Jason Walmer, caught the attention of these esteemed coaches with their stellar performances.
