Coach Douglas Kim has been coaching girls’ basketball in Southern California since 1998. Coach Kim has been part of 4 CIF Championship teams on both the Women’s and Men’s side of the ball. He has been part of a NIKE National Championship staff and has placed over 400 student athletes in college basketball programs.
Coach Kim was the recruiting coordinator for the UCLA Athletic program before leaving his post to become the Athletic Director at Santa Monica high School. He currently is a history teacher at Santa Monica High School.
He is currently the Head Girls Basketball Coach at St. Monica High School and previously served as the head coach at Santa Monica High School winning the CIF title in 2020.
He looks forward to a successful year in his second year with the Corsair Program.
Doug is married to Monica Ly and together they have 6 children.
