The Santa Monica College Women's soccer team opened Western State Conference play with a 6-0 road win against West LA College.

The Corsairs came out with a bang scoring their first goal in the 6th minute of play off of a cross from Skylar Vorhees to the head of Ceirra Little. For the next 15 minutes the Corsairs continued to create chances, but could not find the back of the net until Narumi Kamiya finished a pass from Little to put them up 2-0. SMC logged an additional three goals before closing out the first half from Ashley Heravi (assisted by Kayla Makkar), Little, and Makkar to go into halftime with a 5-0 lead.

In the second half, Andrea Arancibia and Kimberly Quevedo added their names to the stats sheet with a pass out wide from Quevedo to a finish from Arancibia. All eligible players were able to contribute to this win for the Corsairs as they kicked off Western State Conference play.
