Santa Monica College Athletics and specifically Head Women's Soccer Coach Aaron Benditson are excited to announce the transferring of Meredith Gomez a two year transfer sophomore from Mission Viejo, California. She came to SMC in 2017 and will be graduated with her AA degree, majoring in Exercise Science. 

Gomez has accepted an athletic scholarship to continue her student-athlete career at Tennessee Wesleyan University this fall 2020.
Meredith was staple for the Lady Corsair backline in 2019 that earned 12 shutouts and an overall 14-5-3 record culminating the season with a post season run. Additionally, as a defender she postimpressive offensive accolades (1 goal, 4 assists). We are excited to continue to support and follow her successes.

"Meredith has made incredible strides to earn such a tremendous opportunity," stated Coach Benditson.  "We are excited for her upcoming years learning and competing within the NAIA division."

Gomez is the 6th SMC Women's Soccer player to move on to the next level this year.
