Nicole West is the State Champion of 2022-2023 Season!

Santa Monica College player, Nicole West, won the 3C2A State Championship, and completed a perfect 23-0 record season. West defeated Hana Moss (College of the Desert) 6-2, 1-6, 6-1. Coach Richard Goldenson praised Nicole for "digging deep after dropping the second set to close out the match with a dominating third set performance."  

West's championship title earned her a spot in the ranks of SMC greats such as singles state champions Katarina Mozolyuk and Mayra Jovic, who respectively won in 2011 and 2015.

The 3C2A State Championship took place at Ojay, Libby Park, on Sunday, April 30, 2023.
