Women's Volleyball Starts Season with Service

Santa Monica College Volleyball opens the season with Community Service.

The Women’s Volleyball program walked around the corner on 14th St to start the season by giving.

The team volunteered at the Westside Neighborhood Food Bank.  Located a 3 minute walk from campus, this is an amazing opportunity for SMC students to give back even if they don’t have a ton of time between classes.

“With a lot of out of town/out of state student athletes, we felt it was important to integrate into their new homes.  We don’t want to just take from our community; we want to be valuable members that also give back” said Head Coach Christian Cammayo. “Volleyball games start with a serve, we started our program this year with service.”
