The Santa Monica Women's Cross Country team made the most of a flat and fast surface at the Golden West Invitational with with three runners running sub-7:00 pace in the first mile.  Cynthia Tuxpan and Maria Martinez had relatively similar races to last week to lead SMC.  Showing greater strength, Rhiannon Tracey substantially closed the gap between herself and her teammate Maria Martinez.  Hillary Monterrosas did not race as well as last week, but with renewed focus, she should be happier about the result.
